Erics 23rd Birthday

Eric had his 23rd Birthday this past Friday. He went with Chris to sit in on the RICK AND BUBBA SHOW! They had a BLAST! Eric loved it so much that he wants to go back and take me!
We also had Matt & Katie over to grill out and play wii.... actually the boys played wii while Katie and I crashed on the couch! We were both exhausted! But all in all it was a good day for him!

at least for one night. We had our monthly devo. at Larry and Vicki's house. They have a beautiful home complete with its very own diner (in their basement)! How cool is that? They have the 50's diner booths and a jukebox! If you ever get the chance to visit this home you are in for a very BIG treat! every room is a surprise! She also has a pink poodle guest room downstairs. We had a great night! It was fun to pretend!

I am having a GIRLS NIGHT for the teens and a few YA (young adults) are helping me... however my huge support system (Katie) will not be there..... what in the world am I going to do. She always helps me get stuff done on time. But Brittney is coming early and a few others will be their to help me along the way.

Our theme is "Discovering our beauty inside and out!"
I have decorated my home like a SPA (white Christmas lights, candles and I made cute decorations from hot pink and lime green flowers and tissue paper... pics coming soon). I bought all the products needed to do manicures, pedicures and facials. WOW we are going to have a blast! We will also have all kinds of snacks and a chick flick!

Tomorrow we will be going to Dalraida COC for a girls purity day.
LONG WEEKEND BUT ITS GOING TO BE FUN!

oh yeah and for those of you who read this and know who Kristen S. is.... its her Bday today and she is giving up her special night to come and help out with the girls!

DRAMA......

is way over rated! I have been so worried lately over some things that have happened.... I have done my best to fix it but the situation still feels the same! I was thinking about it (AGAIN THIS MORNING) and I began to realize what my problem was.... I had tried to do the fixing. I know I have to trun over my problems to the Lord but it can be so difficult. The reason the problem has not been fixed is because I, the imperfect human has tried to do it, instead of turning it over to my graciouse Father.

Eric....

will be leaving on Saturday to head down to the coast! He will be in FL until Wednesday night or Thursday morning doing a Gospel Meeting! He did a Gospel Meeting for this same congregation last year and they loved him so much they invited him back! YAY However, my house does get lonely and it never fails I always hear weird noises when he is gone..... :( The house is just so quiet without him......

Joyce Smith...

is Katie's mom she is going through some things right now with her health. Some of you know that she won her battle with cancer but she now takes treatments for another disease that she has that affects her spine. On Tuesday I went with Katie to the hospital to be with her family while her Mom had a heart Catherization (SP). When it was all over the doctor said that everything looked great and that she could continue on with her treatments! Please pray for this wonderful family!

Creature update!

My shrimp died two weeks ago. Eric and I came home from Lads to Leaders and Katie told me that my shrimp had molted (lost is shell). This is the way that they grow. However, the next 24 hrs after they molt they are very susceptible to things and apparently the salinity in my tank was a little off.... he passed away on that Monday...... This way a sad day in the Gray house hold. Well, this past Tuesday Katie and I went to the Creature store (after her moms heart cath.) and purchased a new shrimp..... Katie bought a snail and 2 starfish. I sit in front of my tank a few times a day and just watch everything move around.... its neat to watch how the whole ecosystem works inside this little tank. This really is a great hobby! I find myself looking up different things on the Internet because I have this "need" to learn more about it!

Doctors Visits.....

are no fun. I went to the doctor yesterday to see whats been wrong with me..... its nothing serious (at least as of now we don't think its serious). I have just been having a few things that aren't normal.... so I had some blood work done yesterday (and just as a side note..... that lady hurt me! My arm is still bruised and has a knot on it) and I have a few more tests on Tuesday. We pray that these go well and that what I am going through is just a fluke.

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS.....

of YMCA Church League Volleyball! Eric and I have been playing the last 2 months on 1 of our Churches volleyball teams....(our Church has 4 teams). The teams are split up into two divisions.... their is a division for the teams that have been playing longer or have really experienced team members.... and a division for everyone else....lol (this is our teams 2nd year together so this is the league we are in). We played all of our regular season games and came out on top.... we were the #1 team going into the tournament! YAY for us! Then we beat out all the other teams and now we are the Champs of our division..... Pretty good for a team that has only been playing together for 2 years! I cant wait till next year!
